These times call for as much creativity as we can muster. It seems like every week we are called on to find our “next now.” Normal, whatever that word even means, is a long ways away. True creativity hinges on our willingness to step away from our “go-to” response and look deeper – to step beyond what is known into the unknown. Moving towards the unknown means shifting the questions we are asking ourselves and others.
Our creativity – individually and collectively — will shape our lives and the world we live into as the stages of this pandemic unfold. It will determine the contexts we create to be human together and build into our future.
In this interactive seminar led by visual artist and facilitator Mari Shibuya, a member of the NewStories Team, we will explore the importance of creativity and the questions that have alive for each of us surrounding this pandemic. Come prepared to do some drawing (please have supplies with you) and to do some light movement (whatever your body allows.
Come dance with us in this exploration of creativity! Mari’s amazing. She works with kids and adults to release their imaginations, their joy and their potential.
