TEDxTokyo, 2010 Bob and Annie

Bob Stilger and his daughter Annie Stilger Virnig were asked to do the first ever father-daughter presentation at the second TEDxTokyo in 2010. They talked about what they each had learned through their work with communities in the global south. Among other things, a bit of a role reversal resulted. They wanted to have a dialog, passing their comments back and forth. Bob was good at speaking extemporaneously; Annie was good at organizing presentations to tight time formats — the old 10 minute rule. So Annie had to lead their organizing and, well, she’s the star of the show as well!

Annie went on to do a solo presentation at TEDxyzTokyo and later Bob did his solo at TEDxTokyoTeachers
