Bob Stilger was a key collaborator and advisor in the evolution of the Authentic Leadership in Action (ALIA) Institute, which was a gathering-place, learning hub, and catalyst for a global community of change-makers, beginning in 2001. He was instrumental in initiatives such as the Global Village Square, which brought together prototype communities from the international Berkana network and elsewhere, an inter-generational dialogue, and an exchange with Japanese change-makers. Bob helped bring the world to our annual gathering in Nova Scotia, broadening our otherwise North American-centric perspective. In virtual and in-person meetings and gatherings, he created spaces for genuine dialogue, emergent insights and lasting connections. He did this through his natural and intuitive convening skills as well as his personal practice of showing up fully, with warmth, humor and humble wisdom.
