Working with NewStories has been filled with transformative experiences. After the fires devastated our Northern California community, we were searching for answers as to how our community could be intentional in its recovery to ensure that no one in our community fell through the cracks. A very overwhelming concept, being that our systems were not created for this purpose.

I am reminded of the first time I met Bob and Simone, and listened to their perspectives; it was then that I realized that we were not alone. Other communities had unfortunately also been devastated by natural disasters and there were people who had learned lessons that we could draw from to help our community recover as well.

The work of NewStories brought moments of respite to our community and for that I am truly grateful.
